Looye tomaten opnieuw bekroond met Superior Taste Award 

For the third year in a row, our Looye Honeytomatoes and Looye Joyn tomatoes have impressed the judges at the International Taste Institute, earning the coveted Superior Taste Award. This year, our Honeytomatoes once again achieved the highest score – three stars – which also secured them the Crystal Taste Award, a special distinction reserved for products that earn top marks three years running.

International Taste Institute
At the International Taste Institute in Brussels, a panel of more than 200 renowned chefs and sommeliers from around the world blind-taste and score products on appearance, aroma, flavour, texture and mouthfeel to decide which are worthy of a Superior Taste Award. Only those achieving an average score of over 70% qualify for this prestigious accolade.
Products earning between 70 and 80% are awarded one star, while those with scores from 80 to 90% receive two stars. The ultimate three-star rating is reserved for products that earn a score of over 90%. 
 

Looye Honeytomatoes: three stars and a Crystal Taste Award
With the maximum rating of three stars (90.5%), our Honeytomatoes have once again proved just how exceptional their flavour and quality are. They also won the Crystal Taste Award, an accolade only given to products earning the highest rating for three consecutive years. 
 

Looye Joyn tomatoes: two stars
Our Joyn tomatoes also received high honours again this year, achieving two stars with an impressive score of 86.1%. This highlights their full, rich flavour and consistent quality, making them a favourite with both home cooks and professional chefs.
