Flat meatballs, seasoned with Turkish spices. Delicious with a salad like a Turkish bulgur salad or with pita bread!

  • PREPARATION

    1. Puree the Looye JOYN tomatoes in a food processor.

    2. Mix the minced meat with paprika and cumin powder and a pinch of black pepper.

    3. Grate the onion or chop it very finely and add to the mince mixture. Finely chop the garlic clove and add to the mixture.

    4. Knead the pureed Looye JOYN tomatoes, egg and breadcrumbs into the minced meat.

  • METHOD OPTION 1:

    1. Roll the mixture into approximately 10 medium-sized meatballs and flatten them.

    2. Heat a frying pan and add the oil. Brown the koftas on all sides and lower the heat. Cook the Turkish meatballs for 10 - 15 minutes, depending on their thickness, turning regularly.

  • METHOD OPTION 2:

    1. With wet hands, roll the mince mixture into short thick sausages and thread them onto wooden skewers.

    2. Heat the grill pan and grill the koftas for 12 minutes over medium heat, until golden brown and cooked through. Turn over after 6 minutes.
